Uganda’s Rubinda The State Minister of Finance-General Duties, Henry Musasizi, has issued an order for Nelson Akampurira, the Parish Chief of Kagarama Ward in Hamuhambo Town Council, to be arrested in a bold attempt to guarantee the Parish Development Model (PDM) program’s success.
Allegations have been made against Mr. Akampurira for corruption and program sabotage, which include requesting bribes from recipients, working with the CDO of the Hamuhambo Town Council to remove names from the beneficiary list, and causing confusion and disturbance within the PDM program.
During a baraza in Kagarama ward on Friday afternoon, where he addressed concerns voiced by the locals, Minister Musasizi made the announcement. In addition to stressing the government’s dedication to seeing PDM through to completion, he underlined Rubanda District’s capacity to lead the nation in this regard.
In response to the allegations, Mr. Akampurira’s involvement in the scandals was verified by the Rubanda District Commercial Officer and Deputy Resident District Commissioner Eric Ssewandigi, who also notified the Minister that police have been directed to detain him right away.
