President Museveni Commends Kiyinda-Mityana Diocese for Socio-Economic Development Initiatives

Through a variety of socioeconomic development initiatives, the government and Kiyinda-Mityana Diocese have worked together to combat poverty, and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has expressed gratitude for this cooperation. The President praised the Kiyinda-Mityana Diocese for its dedication to hard work and the implementation of projects aimed at alleviating poverty during a meeting with the diocese’s bishop, Rt. Rev. Joseph Anthony Zziwa, at State House, Entebbe.

President Museveni gave the diocese advice on how to help people choose profitable and appropriate businesses, stressing that not all businesses are profitable. He agreed that it’s critical to offer direction in order to guarantee that community members are involved in profitable and constructive endeavors.

The President conveyed gratitude for the diocese’s initiatives, which support economic development and the fight against poverty by raising dairy and coffee. He promised to assist Kiyinda-Mityana in their ongoing efforts to fight poverty going forward.

Bishop Zziwa responded by extending the diocese’s greetings to the President and expressing gratitude for his support of mechanized farming in Mityana and other regions of Uganda. He emphasized the diocese’s dedication to development that integrates social, moral, religious, and economic facets. The bishop underlined that their goal is to produce whole people who are sound economically, socially, morally, and religiously.

The diocese’s strategy emphasizes community economic prosperity in addition to spiritual teachings.
