The mentality teacher at Lango Presidential Industrial Skilling Hub, Pte. Ayoo Odyek Ceaser, has galvanized the kids to undergo a mindset transformation toward their ambition.
The Lango Industrial Skilling Hub is one of 18 zonal hubs established by the President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E. Gen. Yoweri Museveni Kaguta, to combat young poverty.
According to Private Ayoo Odyek Ceaser, 240 students graduated from the Lango Industrial Skilling Hub at Lira University last year. They are now recruiting a fresh batch of students who will be joining another intake soon.
The Skilling Hub presently has eight courses available.
“I am very happy to have been invited to orient the youth at the Lira City Youth Conference on Wednesday,” Ceaser adds.
Ceaser gave The Ankole Times an interview yesterday from Lira City Council Hall.
Ayoo stated that the main difficulty they encountered was objections from sub-counties in each district throughout the recruitment process. They expect to remedy this with the new group, which will begin soon.
Ayoo was speaking to the media immediately after delivering a lecture to the youth at Lira City Council Hall, which was organized by City Youth Councilor Hn. Oluma Hagai and backed by Global Forum For Development (GLOFORD) Uganda and Plan International.
He went on to say that the youth are Uganda’s future, and that they must be willing to adjust their perspective toward combating poverty if they are to thrive in life.
“Right now, they are in the process of recruiting another team, though the process begins in the villages and progresses to the district.” So far, there have been no major issues because the State House has put everything in order for the students.
The youngsters at Lango Presidential Industrial Skilling Hub have 30 staff members in addition to a team of devoted employees who are strong team players for mindset change and socio-economic transformation.”
