Three People Were Arrested For Extorting PDM Beneficiaries

Mr Eseru Paul, the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Pakwach, arrested three Parish Development Model (PDM) Sacco Executives this evening for extorting money from the Beneficiaries of Boro Parish PDM Sacco in Panyimur Sub County.

The trio, which included Odwokacen Francis, the Sacco’s Chairperson, Okumu Dennis, the Secretary, and Ayerango Dorine, the Treasurer, were arrested with over 300,000shs cash as evidence, which they admitted to collecting from PDM members and that it was money meant for their data, transportation, and other purposes.

Mr. Eseru, accompanied by Deputy RDC Achile Twaibu and Deputy DISO Lt. Azza Oscar, drove the trio to Panyimur Police Station, where they were booked under Vide Ref: 10/14/08/2023 for further investigation.

The RDC stated that their goal as a Security Committee is to ensure that PDM succeeds in Pakwach and that anyone who interferes with the program is dealt with appropriately.

“We are tracking down more people, including some technical people, who are attempting to undermine this program, and once we have concrete evidence, we will immediately arrest them and ensure that they are successfully delivered in Court,” Mr.Eseru said.
