President Museveni Fulfills Promise with Motorcycle Donation to Nkumba Boda-Boda Associations

he motorcycles were distributed to members of the Nkumba Bufulu NRM Mobilizers Boda-boda Association and the Quarter Guard NRM Mobilizers Boda-boda Association.

In Nkumba Parish, Wakiso District, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday delivered on his promise to provide 20 brand-new motorcycles to Boda-boda Associations.

In a vibrant ceremony conducted in Bendebere Village, Nkumba, State House Comptroller Ms. Jane Barekye handed the motorcycles.

Ten motorcycles each from Nkumba Bufulu NRM Mobilizers Boda-boda Association and Quarter Guard NRM Mobilizers Boda-boda Association were among the recipients.

During her speech, Ms. Barekye counseled the recipients to make use of the motorcycles in order to increase their household incomes and strengthen their associations.

She praised President Yoweri Museveni in particular and the association members for their love of their nation.

The State House Comptroller also promised that the President will assist local women’s groups involved in profitable endeavors like as piggeries, dairy farms, chicken farming, and mushroom cultivation in order to increase their output and, consequently, raise household incomes.

The State House Special Duties Chief, Maj. Emmanuel Kuteesa, praised President Museveni’s effort to assist the youth in battling poverty.

President Museveni was praised for empowering the youth by Mr. John Muhire, the patron of the two associations and the chairperson of LC 1 for Bendebere Village.

These young people had nothing, but because to President Museveni’s empowerment, they are no longer in need of loans, and they will be able to save money and support other members of the associations,” he said.

Mrs. Jennifer Nakayondo who is also a patron of the two associations commended President Museveni for the support. She praised the cordial and friendly relations existing between civilians and soldiers of the Training School in Kasenyi.

The new motorcycles were a gift from President Museveni, and the chairs of the Nkumba Bufulu NRM Mobilizers Boda-boda Association and the Quarter Guard NRM Mobilizers Boda-boda Association, Mr. Mwanika Fred and Mr. Gombe Kiyaga, respectively, expressed their sincere gratitude and promised to use them to better their own lives, the lives of their families, and the lives of the members of their associations.

Lt. Col. Frank Murema, the Commandant of the Training School in Sera Kasenyi, was present for the occasion.
