The Parish Development Model (PDM) monitoring exercise from NRM Mukono district leadership was held at the division headquarters on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, by Mukono Central Division.

Meeting participants included LCs, council members, civil servants, leaders of the NRM structure, and PDM beneficiaries. Topics of discussion included the state of PDM in Mukono Central Division and other government initiatives like SAGE, Youth Livelihood Programs, Emyooga, etc.

Members expressed worry for recipients who did not receive the sh1,000,000 that President Yoweri Museveni had instructed, and they were assured that they would receive their top-up during the fiscal year.

Mr. Ssegawa urged leaders to support beneficiaries in making the most of their PDM funds so they can achieve their goal of escaping poverty.

Majerani Luboyera, the deputy town clerk, clarified that all participants had received their money from the previous fiscal year and that new groups were being prepared to receive benefits in the current fiscal year.

Hajj Sebaggala stated that he was getting ready to submit a report to the President regarding his findings regarding PDM’s performance in the Mukono district. Along the way, Hajj Sebaggala and the Mukono district’s NRM executive are visiting the various subcounties that make up the district to educate NRM leaders about local government initiatives.
