Presidency Minister Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda has urged the people of Buyende district to embrace new farming practices in keeping with the NRM agenda and President Yoweri Museveni’s continuous national initiative to create prosperity using the four-acre model.
Speaking to parents, educators, and students at Nduudu Church of Uganda Primary School in Kidera sub-county, Hon. Babalanda underlined the need for teamwork in the battle against poverty at the home and community levels.
“I’m here to encourage you to take advantage of the facilities and peace that the NRM government has established in order to embrace wealth creation strategies and enter the money economy.” Instead of relying just on leaders, she encouraged all citizens to join the cause.

She also contributed 500,000 Ugandan shillings to the church project and one million Ugandan shillings to help build desks for more than 1,300 students.
James Kauta, the headteacher, praised Minister Babalanda for her helpful gesture, which inspired the residents.
Babalanda was the first leader to visit and engage in open communication with the community, Mr. Kauta admitted.
This action is especially important since it tackles the issues of cleanliness that hinder learning, particularly for girls who frequently choose to stay at home because of insufficient facilities.

The government’s attempts to encourage economic growth and development at the local level include the minister’s impassioned appeal for the people to join the cause.
According to experts, Buyende locals may boost their earnings, increase agricultural output, and contribute to the nation’s overall economic development by implementing the four-acre plan.
Additionally, Hon. Babalanda used the occasion to urge parents to send their kids to school, stressing the value of education in releasing both social and personal potential.
President Yoweri Museveni is anticipated to expand his wealth creation drive to the Karamoja region next week after recently resuming it in the Bukedi and Teso sub-regions.
