Fort Portal City Woman MP, Hon. Linda Irene Mugisa, has stressed the necessity of transparency and commitment in implementing the Parish Development Model (PDM).
During a recent training session at Kibimba Mosque, she warned against extortion and emphasized the importance of community members in monitoring and maintaining the program’s effectiveness.
Linda praised the efforts of community members and stressed their vital role in maintaining openness through program monitoring and execution.
The legislator stressed the relevance of the PDM, which aims to lift communities. She emphasized that PDM sought to integrate 39% of the population into the money economy, which required commitment and precise execution.
Dr. Stanley Businge, Fort Portal City’s Production Officer and PDM Focal Person, reiterated these comments, advocating for openness in cash disbursement and urged recipients to be easily accessible for project monitoring.
He asked the beneficiaries to be available at any moment for easy project monitoring.
Furthermore, James Winyi, the Kibimba Ward LCII Chairperson, emphasized the need of patience and commitment, saying that only 100 households in the ward will benefit from the second phase of the program.
