President Museveni Demands Repayment of Misallocated PDM Funds

The president urged them to return the money, stating they had taken what was not theirs.
Speaking in Bulambuli district while reviewing the Parish Development Model (PDM), he highlighted the government’s commitment to investing in agriculture by allocating sh100 million per parish annually.
He highlighted that PDM aims to allocate Shs 100 million annually per parish, ultimately creating a revolving fund of Shs 800 million within five years.
The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has said it has transferred 60,247 tablets – mobile computing devices – to the government to manage forthcoming elections and monitor Parish Development Model
The President’s visit also included launching development projects and encouraging Sebei leaders to oversee government initiatives effectively.
President Museveni emphasized that accountability and follow-up are key to eradicating poverty and ensuring families benefit from the money economy.
He urged officials to ensure effective implementation of government programs like the Parish Development Model (PDM), promote security, combat corruption, and support infrastructure development.
Highlighting its transformative potential, he described it as a unifying solution that integrates various economic sectors, empowering residents and fostering long-term regional growth.
