Arrests Made in Rubanda District Over Negligence in Parish Development Model Implementation

The arrests came after reports revealed their failure to input beneficiary information into the Parish Development Model Information System (PDMIS) during the initial payout of the PDM revolving fund.

At least 14 parish heads and Community Development Officers (CDOs) in Rubanda district were arrested yesterday for failing to fulfill their duties under the Parish Development Model (PDM) program.

The arrests were made following reports that these officials neglected to input beneficiary names and information to the Parish Development Model Information System (PDMIS) during the initial payout of the PDM revolving fund.

Rubanda’s Resident District Commissioner, Eric Ssewandigi, accused the arrested officials of failing to fulfill their tasks. He stated that they would be hauled to court and dismissed, paving the way for “patriotic Ugandans” who are dedicated to serving the community.
